Who receives email updates?

Client submissions and messages notify the request sender. Owner copies are optional and off by default. Manage these choices in Settings → Notifications & reminders.

The sender receives updates

When enabled, Items sent for review and Client messages go to the team member who first sent the request. Creating a draft does not make you its sender. Resending or retrying does not change who receives updates.

Optional owner copies

In Settings → Notifications & reminders, enable Also notify the owner to copy the owner on teammates’ client updates. It is off by default. The owner receives only one email for requests they sent.

When a sender leaves

If the sender no longer has access, updates go to the owner. For older requests without a recorded sender, the creator is used, then the owner. Recipients must have verified email addresses.
