What does this product do?
It helps a business request documents and written information, collect client responses through one link, and review what arrived. It keeps the collection process together.
Is it only for bookkeeping?
No. DocRoundup supports client onboarding, monthly records, applications and other document requests. Customize reusable checklists for the information you need.
Can I save a checklist and change it later?
Yes. Save a reusable checklist, select it for a new request, then add or remove requirements. Existing requests keep their own copies, so editing a template does not rewrite a client’s current request.
Can one request include documents, forms and signatures?
Yes. Combine file uploads, written answers, forms and PDFs to sign in the same request. Each item has its own status, so you can see what is still needed.
Can more than one person complete a signing document?
Yes. Assign fields to each person. Each person must have at least one assigned field, which can be a signature, initials or a date. You can track each person’s completion separately.
Is the signing record attached to the completed PDF?
No. The completed PDF contains the original document and the completed signing fields. The signing record is a separate PDF. Both can be previewed and downloaded.
Do clients need an account?
No. Clients use their request link and email verification. Business owners and staff use business accounts.
My link stopped working. What should I do?
Open the latest request link from the business. Links can expire or be replaced. If the latest link still does not work, ask the requesting business for a new one.
Can I return later?
Yes, while your request link remains valid. You may need to verify your email again. Submit the documents you have and return for the rest.
What can clients upload?
Clients can upload PDF, PNG and JPEG, up to 10 MB per file. Each request allows up to 5 active uploaded files. Replacements take the place of earlier files. Requirements can also ask for a written answer.
Does an upload mean the document is accepted?
No. A submission makes the document available for review. The business can accept it or explain what needs replacing.
Does a message complete a document request?
No. Messages and document progress are separate. A question can need a reply while the requested documents are still outstanding.
What happens when a document is replaced?
The new upload becomes the version to review. Previous versions remain available to the business so it can understand what changed.
How do AI document checks work?
AI checks compare uploaded document contents with the requirement title and instructions, including a clearly requested period. Availability depends on the workspace settings and allowance. AI never accepts a document or requests a replacement for you; your team makes the final decision.
Are automated reminders available?
Businesses can send a reminder with a personal message and the current status of every item. Automatic reminders follow the request’s reminder settings and stop when the request no longer needs follow-up.
Can I invite my team?
Workspace owners can invite staff and manage members. Each member receives an email invitation and signs in with the invited email. Your plan sets the team member allowance.
What does it cost?
See the pricing page for current plans, currency, team seats, request allowances and trial details. Start with a 30-day free trial, with no credit card required.
Where do documents go?
Uploaded documents are held in private object storage. Access to previews and downloads is checked by DocRoundup. Business records are kept in the service database. See our Privacy notice for information about processing and retention.
Who should I contact about a document request?
Contact the business that requested your documents. It decides what is required and whether a submission is acceptable. Use product support for questions about the software.
